It looks as though A.J. Soares won't be returning to MLS after all, as the former New England Revolution defender has signed a two-year contract with Danish club Aarhus Gymnastikforening, according to a team press release.
Soares was most recently in the Norwegian Tippeligaen, playing for Viking FK. The move came after his MLS contract expired and a deal to Hellas Verona of Serie A fell through. Soares was a fan-favorite during his one-and-a-half year stay with Viking.
Soares was out of contract this summer, leading to a training stint with Orlando SC.
