The New England Revolution and Gabriel Somi have mutually agreed to part ways.
Somi, 27, ends his Revolution career having collected 1,403 minutes over 14 appearances. He joined the club in Jan. 2018 and was expected to be Brad Friedel’s first-choice left back. A series of bad performances saw him lose his starting spot. Soon after he was failing to make the game-day 18. Somi’s situation didn’t change with Mike Lapper or Bruce Arena taking charge of the team.
In an interview with fotballtransfers, Somi explained that he ended his contract five months early because he believes it will help him find a new team.
