Revolution Trade Nemeth To Sporting KC

The New England Revolution have made their first blockbuster trade of the summer window, sending striker Krisztian Nemeth back to Sporting Kansas City earlier tonight.

The Revs will receive $250,000 in Targeted Allocation Money, $100,000 in General Allocation Money, and Kansas City’s 2020 natural first-round SuperDraft pick for the trade. In addition, according to other MLS reporting from Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star, New England will be on the hook for part of Nemeth’s nearly $1 million dollar salary for the remainder of the year.

This is a solid move from the Revs front office considering they recoup almost all of the $400,000 in allocation they sent the Columbus Crew to acquire Nemeth via the allocation order last year.
