The New England Revolution’s active off-season continues as the team has signed 27-year-old center back Samba Camara. Camara is transferring from Le Havre (French Ligue 2) and will officially be added to the roster upon receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
Camara has amassed 140 appearances (136 starts) during his eight-year playing career in France’s second, third, fourth divisions. Camara featured for AM Neiges Le Havre (2012-13), before joining Le Havre AC ahead of the 2013-14 campaign.
“We are pleased to add Samba Camara to our roster. He’s an athletic left-footed defender who fills a void that we’ve had in our back line,” said Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena.
