The New England Revolution have signed midfielder DeJuan Jones, according to a club press release.
Jones, 21, was the 11th-overall pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. During his four-year stay at Michigan State, Jones collected 16 goals and 14 assists. He earned second-team All-Big Ten Conference honors in both 2017 and 2018.
Jones impressed during the MLS Combine, finishing in the top three in the speed (first), agility (first), and power (third) tests. He also showed off his attacking ability as a member of Team Nemeziz.
After selecting him in the draft, head coach Brad Friedel noted that “[Jones] is an attacking player that can play quite a few different positions.
