On July 6th, the Revolution announced a historic signing for the club as they released a statement announcing the signing of Defender Collin Verfurth. Verfurth becomes the first player from the Revolution’s USL side, Revolution II, to be promoted to the first team.
Verfurth spent his college days playing for Virginia Tech. During his time at Virginia Tech, Verfurth made 72 appearances with 68 starts for the Hokie’s. Verfurth was also able to net an astounding 9 goals and 1 assist.
After leaving Virginia Tech, Verfurth signed with USL’s Loudon United. During his time with Loudon, Verfurth clocked an impressive 1,986 minutes over 23 appearances and 22 starts.
