On Thursday, Chris Tierney—the longest-tenured Revolution player—signed a multi-year deal with his hometown club. Widely regarded as one of the top left backs in MLS, Tierney has played eight seasons with the Revolution, starting at least 20 matches in each of his last six campaigns. In 2015, he earned his first MLS All-Star selection.
In an interview with Revolution Staff Writer Jeff Lemieux, Tierney, who will turn 30 before the 2016 kicks off, expressed a desire to stay in New England for the rest of his career.
"My first priority with my career is to play for the New England Revolution," Tierney said.
