Jay Heaps will remain in charge of the New England Revolution, a decision that was met with mixed reviews from supporters. Club president Brian Bilello defending the move during a recent Ask Me Anything session, saying Heaps has accomplished a lot during his time as head coach.
"Since taking over the head coaching position, Jay had done a great job at building a competitive team that our fans have enjoyed watching, most notably with the trip to MLS Cup and multiple playoff appearances," Bilello said. "This year was a tough one for all of us but we felt Jay earned the right to coach the team in 2017.
