Revolution play to 0-0 draw with D.C. United in 2016 home opener

FOXBOROUGH – The New England Revolution picked up their second point in as many games with a 0-0 draw against D.C. United at Gillette Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the Revs’ home opening match. Despite 18 total shots, the Revs were unable to find the back of the net. New England is now unbeaten in its first two matches for the first time since 2013.

Lee Nguyen proved dangerous throughout the match for the Revs; his best opportunity came in the 55th minute when he beat D.C. United goalkeeper Travis Worra from about ten yards, only to have the ball strike the crossbar.
