As one coach leaves, another enters.
The New England Revolution have hired Kevin Hitchcock as an assistant coach to replace Ruben Garcia. Garcia left his role as the Revs goalkeepers coach to become the Sporting Director of La Liga side SD Huesca.
“We are pleased to add another accomplished professional to the coaching staff in Kevin, who brings a world-class pedigree as both a coach and as a player to the club,” Friedel said via press release.
Hitchcock was most recently the goalkeepers coach for Indian Super League side Chennaiyin FC. Before that he spent time with Watford FC (2001-04), Blackburn Rovers FC (2004-08), Manchester City FC (2008-10), Fulham FC (2011), Queens Park Rangers (2012-15), Al Arabi Sports Club (2015-16), and Birmingham City FC (2016-18).
