At the beginning of the season, it looked like the New England Revolution would have three Designated Players once Xavier Kouassi joined the team. The defensive midfielder was officially added to the roster this week, but the Revs still have an open DP slot. That's because the club has used Targeted Allocation Money to pay down Jose Goncalves' salary, according to team staff writer and online host Jeff Lemieux.
It's also my understanding that Kamara and Kouassi are DPs, but #NERevs are now using TAM on Goncalves. So still two DPs on the roster.
