Revolution drop final match in first leg of preseason to Vancouver, 3-2

TUCSON, Ariz. – The New England Revolution concluded the first leg of their 2016 preseason schedule, falling 3-2 this evening against Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Charlie Davies and Jordan McCrary each recorded a goal for New England. Davies’ goal marked two goals in two preseason games for the Revs’ forward.

The Revolution opened the first half with a veteran lineup. After a scoreless half hour, Vancouver’s Masato Kudo put the Whitecaps on the board shortly after a Cristian Techera corner was flicked on by Marco Bustos, which Kudo chested into the net. The Revs came close to equalizing in the 41st minute when a cross from Chris Tierney was headed by Juan Agudelo, only to find the right post.
