FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution defender Je-Vaughn Watson has been selected to the Jamaica National Team’s roster for its 2017 Caribbean Cup qualifier against Guyana on Oct. 11. Jamaica was scheduled to play a match against Suriname on Oct. 5, however, that match was postponed due to safety concerns regarding Hurricane Matthew.
Watson, 32, is set to represent the Jamaica as the team enters the third round of qualifying for the 2017 Caribbean Cup, a biennial tournament that determines which four countries from the Caribbean region qualify for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. The Saint Catherine Parish native has collected 60 international caps for his career, most recently representing the Reggae Boyz in their last round of 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in September.
