Revolution defeat Seattle Sounders FC, 2-1

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (3-4-7; 16 points) defeated Seattle Sounders FC (4-7-1; 13 points), 2-1, at Gillette Stadium on Saturday evening. Lee Nguyen and Femi Hollinger-Janzen were New England’s goal scorers, with the former also contributing an assist. Tonight’s match marked the third consecutive match Nguyen has recorded both a goal and assist. He also moved into sole possession of fourth place on the Revolution’s all-time goal-scoring list with his 37^th career tally. Femi netted the game winner – the first of his professional career – in the 80^th minute, becoming the leading goal scorer among all 2016 MLS SuperDraft selections.
