Revolution defeat RailHawks, 1-0; advance to Round of 16 of USOC

CARY, N.C. – The New England Revolution defeated the Carolina RailHawks, 1-0, at WakeMed Soccer Park on Wednesday evening to advance to the Round of 16 of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

Homegrown Player Zachary Herivaux was the goal scorer for New England, recording his first professional goal in the 103rd minute, which was also the game-winning goal with Lee Nguyen contributing the assist. Brad Knighton recorded a shutout, stopping five shots en route to a Revolution victory. Jordan McCrary made his professional debut, starting at right back and playing all 120 minutes for the Revolution.
