Carles Gil will see a doctor on Saturday after exiting early from the New England Revolution’s game against D.C. United.
The captain played 62 minutes before making way for Diego Fagundez. It was an odd sight as Gil played all but eight minutes in 2019. A foot injury kept him out of the first two games of this season. He since recovered enough to play 90 minutes in the Revs’ opener in the MLS is Back tournament.
Earlier this week, Gil told media that his “foot isn’t perfect yet.” He still got the start on Friday, but was pulled early.
