FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution have hired Jarryd Phillips as Director of Sports Performance. Phillips joins the Revolution after nearly three years as Minnesota United FC’s Director of Performance and Sports Science, and also previously served as a performance coach with the Seattle Sounders.
In addition, Assistant Coach Mike Lapper, who served as the club's interim head coach for three games prior to Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena's arrival, has left the club.
“Adding Jarryd’s expertise in sports science and performance is a critical step toward growing the technical staff and evolving the soccer operations arm of the organization,” Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena said.
