The New England Revolution announced on Thursday that they have officially acquired Colombian forward Juan Fernando Caicedo via a loan from Independiente Medellín.
Rumors of the loan had been swirling around New England for the past week. Now that Caicedo is officially a part of the club, the Revs can now go into the 2019 MLS season with a new attacking option.
Caicedo, 29, has scored 89 goals in nearly 300 appearances while playing in the top leagues in Colombia and Argentina. He was most recently with Independiente Medellín (Colombia), where he tallied 42 goals across 150 league appearances.
