Revolution 2, Cincinnati 0: Revs now unbeaten in 10

It’s been a good week for the New England Revolution, who followed Wednesday’s 4-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps with a 2-0 win over FC Cincinnati.

Carles Gil got things started in the ninth minute when he collected his seventh goal of the season. Cristian Penilla originally tried to set up Gustavo Bou but the Designated Player never gained possession. The ball instead fell to Gil, who placed it into the back of the net.

The Revs were on the hunt for a second goal in the 11th minute when Brandon Bye played a low cross that found Teal Bunbury.
