The New England Revolution got decimated at home on Wednesday, losing 3-0 to the Montreal Impact.
Cody Cropper was called into action in the 10th minute when he made a pair of athletic saves. The first denied Zachary Brault-Guillard’s shot from outside the box. The second blocked Michael Azira, who had pounced on the rebound.
Orji Okwonkwo threatened in the 19th minute when he pushed forward on a Montreal counter. The left-sided player hit a stinging shot from out wide, but his attempt rattled the crossbar.
Maximiliano Urruti stepped up to take a free kick in the 42nd minute but Cropper was up to the task.
