The New England Revolution were overwhelmed by the Chicago Fire on Wednesday night, as they lost 5-0. The loss comes four days after the Revs were bested 6-1 by the Philadelphia Union.
The Fire were active from the opening whistle and got their first goal in the 28th minute. Nemanja Nikolic was at the back post to finish a free kick by Nico Gaitan. The tally brought some relief to the striker, who failed to capitalize on earlier chances.
The score line became 2-0 in the 40th minute when Nikolic got his second.
