The Revs' new DP is expected to miss at least six months with a right knee injury.
It's bad news for the New England Revolution as their new Designated Player Xavier Kouassi is set to miss at least six months with a right knee injury, according to multiple Swiss reports.
Kouassi suffered the injury on Sunday during FC Sion's match against FC Zurich. The midfielder, who also serves as the captain, was carted off in the 57th minute. He's expected to miss the rest of the Swiss season.
Kouassi was announced as the Revolution's new Designated Player on Feb.
