Former New England Revolution defender A.J. Soares could be on the move this summer, according to Norwegian newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad.
Soares' 18-month contract with Viking FK, which he signed in February 2015, will soon expire. Reports out of Norway claim that the 27-year-old has no intention of re-signing, though the player has not to publicly announce his future plans.
Before heading to the Tippeligaen, Soares was with the Revolution from 2011-2014. In his final season, Soares won the Revs' "Players' Player" and Defender of the Year awards. He also helped his club reach the MLS Cup final.
