FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (2-1-1; 7 pts.) defeated the Houston Dynamo (1-2-1; 4 pts.), 2-0, at BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday evening. Forward Teal Bunbury opened the scoring in the 15th minute and Cristian Penilla delivered an insurance goal – the first of his MLS career – in the 71st minute to secure New England its first away win of the season. Dynamo defender DaMarcus Beasley was issued a red card in the 35th minute, which gave the Revolution a one-man advantage for the remaining 55 minutes of the match.
Penilla recorded an assist for a third consecutive match in addition to his 71st minute goal, leaving the newcomer only one behind LAFC's Diego Rossi for the league lead in assists.
