FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (2-2-5, 11 pts.) fell, 2-0, to New York City FC at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday night. New York City scored both goals in the second half, the first coming from an own goal by New England’s Michael Mancienne in the 60th minute as he tried to clear a grounded cross. NYCFC forward Héber doubled the visitor’s lead in the 72nd minute, when he headed in a corner kick from Ronald Matarrita.

Midfielder Diego Fagundez registered his 250th career appearance, joining Taylor Twellman and Matt Reis as the only Revolution players to reach the mark.
