ATLANTA, GA. – The New England Revolution (10-13-5; 35 pts.) fell to Atlanta United FC (12-8-6; 42 pts.), 7-0, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Wednesday night in the clubs' first ever meeting. Atlanta scored four goals in the first half and added three more on the other side of halftime to secure the win.
The Revolution finished the match with nine men as two players, midfielder Xavier Kouassi and defender Antonio Delamea, were issued red cards following two separate video review incidents in the first half.
New England returns to action this Saturday, Sept. 16, when it will remain on the road to play Sporting Kansas City at Children's Mercy Park.
