RECAP: Revs head into break on back of 2-2 draw with San Jose Earthquakes

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (6-4-6, 24 pts.) wrapped up a two-game road swing with a 2-2 draw against the San Jose Earthquakes (2-9-4, 15 pts.) at Avaya Stadium on Wednesday evening. Diego Fagundez responded to an early goal from Earthquakes forward Danny Hoesen with a stunning free kick in the 31st minute. Fagundez delivered the assist on Cristian Penilla's go-ahead goal 12 minutes later, but Hoesen leveled the score on the other side of halftime with an equalizer in the 51st minute.

With a goal and an assist in tonight's match, Fagundez joins Penilla as one of nine MLS players with at least five goals and five assists this season.
