FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (3-1-2; 11 pts.) defeated Columbus SC, 1-0, in a rematch of the 2020 Eastern Conference Final at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night. New England’s Adam Buksa scored the game’s lone goal in the 86th minute, three minutes after he entered the match as a substitute, improving the club’s home record to 3-0-0 to start the season. The win caps off a stretch of three games in nine days that saw the Revolution take four points and move to the top of the Eastern Conference table.
Buksa’s goal is his second of the season, and his eighth since joining the Revolution ahead of the 2020 campaign.
