PORTLAND, Ore. – The New England Revolution began play in the Portland Timbers’ preseason tournament with a 2-2 draw against Minnesota United FC at Providence Park on Sunday. Revolution forward Adam Buksa scored New England’s opening goal, his first with the club, while Gustavo Bou tallied his second preseason goal.
Minnesota got on the board first in the 23rd minute with a close-range finish by Luis Amarilla, assisted by Kevin Molino. Buksa answered with a strike in the 28th minute, combining with Teal Bunbury to deliver a first-time finish from the top of the box.
