FOXBOROUGH, MASS. – The New England Revolution (6-9-5; 23 pts.) defeated the LA Galaxy (6-10-4; 22 pts.), 4-3, before a crowd of 27,441 at Gillette Stadium on Saturday evening. Forward Teal Bunbury scored twice in a four-minute span after entering the match as a substitute in the 66th minute, including the game-winning tally in the 73rd minute. Midfielder Diego Fagundez doled out two assists, while Kelyn Rowe also contributed an assist in his first game back with the Revolution from international duty with the U.S. Men's National Team in the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Lee Nguyen tallied the Revolution's first goal in the 16th minute with his eighth goal of the season, taking sole possession of the team lead in goals scored.
