WASHINGTON D.C. – The New England Revolution (2-1-4, 10 pts.) defeated D.C. United (1-3-3, 6 pts.), 2-1, at Audi Field on Tuesday night behind goals from Gustavo Bou and Teal Bunbury. Bou opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a strike from distance, before Bunbury – following a 46-minute weather delay – doubled New England’s lead in the 38th minute with a headed goal off a corner kick.
Bou’s goal was his second of the season, and his 11th in 21 career MLS appearances. He registered three shots in tonight’s contest and continues the pace the league in that category with 25 on the year.
