Recap | 10-man Revs drop heartbreaker in Philadelphia, fall 2-1 to Union

CHESTER, Pa. – The New England Revolution (3-3-5, 14 pts.) fell to the Philadelphia Union, 2-1, at Subaru Park on Saturday night. Philadelphia’s Anthony Fontana scored twice, including the game-winning goal in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time. Fontana also opened the scoring in the 71st minute, but New England – which played the final 34 minutes of the match with 10 men after midfielder Matt Polster was issued a red card – equalized the match in the 81st minute through Tajon Buchanan’s first career goal.

Buchanan, whom the Revolution selected with the ninth-overall pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, opened his professional account 13 minutes after entering the match as a substitute.
