FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Between his 22-year playing career, his time as a television analyst with FOX, and his coaching stints with U.S. Soccer and now the New England Revolution, Brad Friedel has done his fair share of traveling.
That’s why the Revolution’s current 25-day stretch in Foxborough – back-to-back home games sandwiched around a bye weekend – is such a treat, offering players and coaches a much-needed opportunity to settle for a bit after spending the entire month of February on the road.
“I haven’t been in one place for this long in a long time,” Friedel said with a laugh after Wednesday morning’s training session at Gillette Stadium.
