FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution II has signed Academy midfielder Hikaru Fujiwara (pronounced: hee-KAH-roo foo-JEE-wah-rah) to a USL League One contract pending league and federation approval. The Lexington, Mass. resident becomes the fourth player to sign directly with Revs II from the Revolution Academy program, joining Meny Silva, Dennis Ramirez, and Colby Quiñones.
Fujiwara, 17, joined the New England Revolution Academy in 2016 at the age of 12 and has made over 100 appearances across all age levels for the program. In that time, Fujiwara has scored over 30 goals, including a hat trick in the 2020 Generation Adidas Cup qualifying rounds in Sandy, Utah.
