The New England Revolution selected defender Brandon Bye with the 8th overall pick in the 2018 SuperDraft.
Bye, 23, played four years at Western Michigan, featuring as a right midfielder during the university’s stellar 2017 season. As a senior he was a United Soccer Coaches Division I National Scholar Player of the Year, USC First Team All-American, and Hermann Trophy semifinalist.
Although he put up impressive numbers in his final two years (20 goals and 12 assists), Bye is projected to be a right back in MLS. Here, he could use his athleticism to get into the attack.
