Matt Turner is all about helping the team any way he can, which is why he became the New England Revolution’s locker room DJ at the beginning of 2019.
After two years as the third-string goalkeeper, Turner earned the starting job in 2018. He performed well, making 83 saves in 27 appearances. Turner lost the gig at the start of 2019 because then-head coach Brad Friedel preferred Brad Knighton and Cody Cropper.
Still wanting what’s best for the team, Turner began to contribute in a different way.
“I guess it really started probably in the beginning of 2019,” Turner explained.
