Matt Reis is nominated for best MLS goalkeeper of all-time

New England Revolution fans have long believed that Matt Reis is the greatest goalkeeper of all-time, but now they have the opportunity to prove it.

As part of Goalkeeper Week, MLSSoccer.com has created a bracket to determine the best netminder to play in the league. The bracket features match-ups like Pat Onstad vs. Kasey Keller and Tony Meola vs. Bill Hamid.

Reis’ first-round opponent is current Colorado Rapids’ goalkeeper Tim Howard.

Reis retired after the 2013 season, ending a 16-year career. The California native was originally drafted by the LA Galaxy in 1998 before being traded to the Revs in January 2003.
