FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Gershon Koffie has been one of the New England Revolution’s most consistent performers through the first month of the 2016 season, culminating with what head coach Jay Heaps called “a near perfect night” last weekend against Toronto FC.
Koffie completed 44 of his 48 passes against TFC and was the fulcrum of New England’s attack, playing a key role in the buildup to Kelyn Rowe’s goal and picking up a secondary assist in the process.
“I thought Gershon had an excellent night,” said Heaps. “There was, I think, one time at the end of the night when he got picked, but other than that he had a near perfect night with the ball and defensively.
