Sure, it’s preseason, but New England Revolution fans should be happy with Kei Kamara’s current form.
On Friday, Kamara scored his second goal in as many games. Three days after nodding home a Donnie Smith cross against Minnesota United FC, Kamara used his head to score against the New York Red Bulls. This time it was Lee Nguyen who earned the assist.
While these games don’t earn the Revs any points, they can have an effect on the regular season.
“I think it’s important that he gets confident scoring goals,” Head coach Jay Heaps said. “He’s scored them in different ways – the other day was out of the run of play, this one was off a set piece.
