When Bruce Arena was hired in November as head coach of the U.S. men’s national team, he pledged to integrate players who were somewhat forgotten during the Jürgen Klinsmann era.
The New England Revolution are benefitting from this new mindset, as striker Juan Agudelo has made the 23-man roster the USMNT’s friendly on Sunday vs. Serbia. The match will take place at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California, which previously housed the San Diego Chargers.
While there’s no guarantee that Agudelo will feature against the Serbs, he’s surely booming with confidence ahead of the Revs’ 2017 season.
