Once a promising attacker, who lit up the Honduran soccer league and impressed with the national team, Bengtson has spent the last couple of years in Iran, a place where he saw a dead sheep.
After a less-than-stellar year with Perspolis, Bengtson moved to Zob Ahan for the 2016-17 season. Here he has done better to the point that he’s requested a return to the national team. This bid certainly wasn’t aided by his performance in Monday’s game.
With his team down 1-0, Bengtson stepped up to the penalty spot for a one-on-one opportunity with Al Ain’s goalkeeper.
