Je-Vaughn Watson has found his scoring touch in 2016.
After collecting an 85th-minute game-winner against the Chicago Fire this summer, Watson went off in U.S. Open Cup Play, scoring against Chicago and Philadelphia while converting a game-clinching penalty in the latter match.
Now, Watson has added a key international goal to his 2016 accomplishments.
Down 2-0 against Guyana in the third round of the Caribbean Cup, Watson—who captained the Jamaican side—converted a toe-poke shot in the 63rd-minute to halve his team’s deficit. According to the Voice, a Jamaican-founded British newspaper, the goal rejuvenated the Reggae Boyz, as the team began to pile attacking pressure on the host nation.
