Franklin Field was a proposed location for Revolution stadium

The search for a permanent home for the New England Revolution continues.

One month after the Bayside proposal fell through, Franklin Field was suggested as a site for a soccer specific stadium, according to the Dorchester Report.

This latest project was proposed by Massachusetts State Representative Russell Holmes, who represents parts of Dorchester, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, and Roslindale. Holmes reached out to the Krafts, believing that the site could work despite not being easily accessible via public transportation.

“I want soccer,” Russell told the Dorchester Report. “I want professional soccer.
