It took a little drama but the New England Revolution are moving on in the U.S. Open Cup after downing the New York Red Bulls 3-2 on Tuesday night.
The Revs grabbed the lead in the second minute when Juan Agudelo tapped in Juan Fernando Caicedo’s backheel attempt. Edgar Castillo had the initial cross after Diego Fagundez patiently held up the ball while he waited for his left back to sprint forward.
The Revs continued to look lively, but it was the Red Bulls who scored next.
