Welcome to the first installment of a new series that will come out every Monday until the season begins. Each week, we will hunt down a former New England Revolution player and ask if the Revs miss him. This week we profile the infamous Jerry Bengtson.
Career with the Revolution
Bengtson joined the Revolution as a Designated Player in the summer of 2012. His arrival was highly touted, as club stated he was an “out-and-out striker” who excelled “in all aspects of the attack.”
Reviews were positive at first, as Bengtson scored in his debut against the New York Red Bulls.
