Longtime Breakers defender Cat Whitehill is back - this time on the other side of the bench.
Boston Breakers fans remember Cat Whitehill as the centerpiece of the team's defense for several seasons, going back to WPSL Elite. Whitehill retired in 2015 after helping guide the team through some tumultuous times, including acting as player-coach in 2013.
Whitehill will now help the team prepare for the 2016 season, as well as act as a club ambassador, working to promote the Breakers and build relationships with sponsors.
"I've wanted to get into coaching for some time, and I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to take this step as a part of the Breakers family," Whitehill said via press release.
