Brian Wright’s Vermont Media Tour

The University of Vermont isn’t exactly known for being an athletics powerhouse. In the history of the Catamounts’ athletic program’s, only player had ever been drafted in the first round of a major professional draft: basketball player Larry Killick was selected 10th overall in the 1947 NBA draft.

So sixty years later give or take, New England Revolution player Brian Wright is in pretty elite club in UVM history. Not only being drafted but also being taken in the first round.

The fact that Wright is staying fairly close to his school and also his home of Ajax, ON (a suburb of Toronto) is a bonus.
