The Boston Breakers have named Neill Caine their new goalkeeping coach.
Old GK coach Ashley Phillips, a former Breakers goalkeeper herself, has been hired away by Northeastern University to be their head coach.
Caine comes to Boston with a background in USL, PDL, the New England Revolution academy system, and college coaching, including stints at Brandeis, Northeastern, and Boston University.
Meanwhile, Phillips will stay on as a consultant with the Breakers. A team spokesperson said, "Her main priority is Northeastern. However, based around her schedule, Ashley will remain involved with the pro team in a revised coaching capacity throughout the season.
