On Thursday, the MLS Disciplinary Committee fined Angoua for simulation/embellishment during Saturday’s 4-0 win over Orlando City SC.
The incident occurred in the 24th minute when Angoua and Dom Dwyer swapped kicks to the leg. After the play passed, Dwyer pushed Angoua, and the Revolution center back fell to the ground. Not amused, referee Robert Sibiga told Angoua to get up.
As it turns out, the Disciplinary Committee wasn’t amused either.
A second look at the scuffle indicates that Angoua oversold the contact, and MLS deemed his theatrics deserving of an undisclosed fine.
