There is one play that New England Revolution fans will for sure be talking about after the club’s 2-2 draw on Saturday night.
The ending of the game was interesting with DeJuan Jones being sent off in the 91st minute after taking down Przemyslaw Frankowski just outside of the box. It appeared that the referee had handed out a red card, but he would soon go to VAR.
After VAR his decision to send off Jones had not changed and the Revolution finished the game down a man. The official MLS Video Review account on Twitter would later state that the referee went to VAR to see if the foul was committed inside or outside the box, not to see if the foul was worthy of a red card.
